Family History Month Resources
Ideas to celebrate Family History Month
Interview a family member:
Ask about their memories or use the Interview Question Generator for prompts.
Organize photos:
Pull out old photo albums, scan them, or share them with family members. You can even create a digital family tree on a site like FamilySearch.
Research your roots:
Use resources from libraries or websites like Family Tree Magazine to start building a family tree or learn about an ancestor's homeland.
Record your own story:
Write down personal stories, family traditions, or memories of your parents and grandparents. You can do this in a journal, on a blog, or by creating short audio or video recordings.
Connect with relatives:
Call or text a family member you haven't spoken to in a while to see how they are doing and hear their stories.
Get creative:
Cook a family recipe, plan a new family tradition, or organize a scavenger hunt related to your family's history.
