Spalding STEM Academy

Dear Families,

It's hard to believe it is the end of the 2023-24 school year! Students have worked hard, with the support of wonderful families and our Spalding staff. I wanted to let you know that I resigned as principal of Spalding STEM Academy. My last day at Spalding will be May 31st.

Over the past 27 years, I have had the privilege of working alongside dedicated teachers, staff, and of course, amazing students and families like yours. Early in my career, I got to teach here at Spalding, and I fell in love with the Spalding community. It has been an honor to come back and be the principal here the past 13 years. I am immensely proud of the accomplishments we have achieved together as a learning team. Our vision statement is "For Our Kids," and we take that to heart in our discussions, collaboration, and actions. We have dedicated and hard-working staff, supportive and involved families, and creative and curious students. Together, we have made significant strides in enhancing the educational experience for our students and supporting the professional growth of staff.

I am looking forward to new adventures as I move forward on my personal learning journey and having some more time with my family. The Spalding staff will continue to provide outstanding instruction and support to your student(s). The memories and relationships we have created will always hold a special place in my heart. Keep SOARing, Spalding Eagles! It has been the honor of a lifetime to work with you.

I hope to see you at the Field Day and/or End of Year picnic next week.

Field Day

We like to celebrate the end of the school year each year with Field Day outside! Each classroom will need some adult volunteers to help with this event. If you can help, please contact your child's classroom teacher.

Start of School Year 2024-25

The first day of school for students is August 14th! We look forward to seeing everyone after a fun-filled summer break! The 2023-24 calendar is linked below:

Watch your texts and emails in early August for more information about class placement. Mark your calendar for Meet & Greet, which will be on August 12th, from 4:00-5:30 pm. Be sure your information is updated in PowerSchool so you have access to the most recent information.
