At Lake Windward Elementary, we are proud of our diverse school community and want to celebrate the many cultures and countries represented by our students.

This summer, we installed a world map in our hallway (pictured below) to showcase the countries that are part of our school family. To help us complete this display, we invite you to fill out the brief form linked below.

The form will ask for:

Your child's name
The country where your child was born, if they were born outside of the United States

For example, if your second-grade student was born in Canada and later moved to the United States, you would list Canada as the country.

Thank you for helping us recognize and celebrate the diversity that makes Lake Windward Elementary such a special community.

Thank you to all the families who have already become LWE PTO sponsors! Your support helps provide valuable enrichment opportunities for our students.

So far, 1 in 4 LWE families has joined. If just half of all LWE families became a sponsor, we would reach our fundraising goal for the year!

For only $60, a Bronze Sponsorship includes a yearbook ($40 value), discount on additional yearbooks, PTO directory access, and free admission to International Night, our biggest event of the year.

Please consider becoming a sponsor and help make this an amazing year for our students!

Kid Chess

Kid Chess has been one of Atlanta’s most popular after-school enrichment programs since 1998. The program meets at Lake Windward every Wednesday and provides instruction for students of all skill levels, from true beginners to advanced players. To ensure high-quality, level-appropriate instruction, Kid Chess sends multiple coaches to each session, maintaining a uniquely low student-to-teacher ratio.

New this year: Lake Windward is adding a second hour of Kid Chess, and kindergarten students are now invited to enroll in the second-hour session!

For more information or to register, call (770) 575-5802 or visit www.kidchess.com.
