CTMS Weekly Bulletin

As we head into the final days of the school year, I want to thank our students and staff for their patience, flexibility, and positive attitudes during the recent stretch of hot weather. While the temperatures have certainly made things a little more challenging, our students and staff have continued to work hard and make the best of the situation.

With summer just around the corner, we ask families to take a few minutes to talk with their children about continuing to follow the CTMS 3:

• by being Respectful
• by being Responsible
• by being Safe.

The excitement of the end of the school year is understandable, but it is important that we continue to make good choices and maintain our expectations through the last day of school.

By continuing to show respect for others, taking responsibility for their actions, and making safe decisions, students can help ensure a positive end to the year for everyone.

Thank you for your continued support throughout the school year. We appreciate your partnership and look forward to finishing the year strong and celebrating all that our students have accomplished.

What a week!

Thank you so much to the amazing parents and families of Central Tree Middle School for giving our teachers such a special week. The last few weeks of school can definitely be a struggle for both students and staff, but you made every single day feel appreciated with a new surprise each day.

On Monday, we kicked things off with a staff raffle filled with prizes donated by parents and purchased from Rutland businesses thanks to your generous donations. On Tuesday, staff enjoyed breakfast from Maple Ave Diner, generously donated by Wachusett Excavating. On Wednesday, teachers received much-needed classroom supplies from their wish lists. On Thursday, Starbucks of Worcester generously donated a day of Starbies. And on Friday, we topped off the week with what may have been the favorite surprise of all: ice cream sundaes!

We truly cannot thank you enough for showing up for our teachers in such a thoughtful and generous way. Your kindness made this week so special, and we are so grateful for our CTMS community.

The Select Board has called a Special Town Meeting for Tuesday, June 16th at 6:00 P.M.

We wish to extend a big thank you to our Recreation Dept. for offering FREE babysitting services so that hopefully more residents are able to attend.

The Special Town Meeting will address 3 warrant articles:

• 🏫 WRSD Assessment for FY2027
• 📄 Home Rule Petition for Rutland Marketplace
• ✏ Citizen's Petition to Fund Fire, Police & DPW for FY2027

The time has come, and we are nearing the end of an unforgettable middle school journey.

Our 8th Grade Field Day will be held on June 22, and we would love for you to spend this special last day with your 8th grader as we celebrate their time at Central Tree Middle School.
