Young Women's STEAM Academy Updates

Congratulations to our Drumline, Flags, Dance, and Cheer Teams for being named the BEST MARCHING BAND group at the Glasheen, Valles & Inderman Thanksgiving Parade! This is the second time we've earned this honor in the past three years! We're so proud of our talented students and sponsors for their dedication. Thank you to our parents for your amazing support—we couldn't have achieved this without you!

Congratulations to Anastasia Adney, a 7th grader, and her art teacher, Mrs. Mann, for winning **1st Place** in the El Paso Community College *Salute to the Arts* Contest! Anastasia earned 1st place in the **Technology-Assisted Graphic Arts/Photography** category. We’re so proud of you both!

Come join our Rockin Librarian this Saturday at Barnes and Noble at Sunland Park Drive 1pm to 6pm. Say your with YWA and they will give us a portion of the proceeds! Mr. Biddle has several activities planned for you! Come check us out.

Mrs. Plaza's advisory class is hosting a toy drive to benefit children at Providence Memorial Hospital! Donations will be collected by advisory classes, and the class with the most donations will win a donut party and lunch incentives, such as early release to lunch.

Please support this great cause! We love giving back to our community, which does so much for us.

The toy drive will run from December 2nd to 12th. Bring all donations to your advisory class—Dr. Plaza's advisory will handle collecting the toys. Thank you for your generosity!

YWA is excited to launch our Las Guerreras Folklorico Group Tryouts will be held on December 11th and 12th from 4:15 PM to 5:30 PM in the Dance Room. Students must have a signed permission slip to participate in the tryouts.

Visit Mrs. Orozco in B205 to pick up your application. Come be a part of this exciting new group!
