Welcome to the BHS Express
A newsletter keeping you informed about Batavia High School
Hello Bulldog Families.
We hope your high school students enjoyed their Monday off school and found the extra day of rest helpful!
While your high school student was at home, our teachers and staff wrapped up goal-setting and collaborated around the work of providing support to all of our students. Although we miss not spending time with them, we find these days beneficial as it gives us all time to plan together to be the best we can be for your high school kids.
Batavia High School has established three goals for the 2025-2026 school year: 1) Increase academic achievement of our students, 2) Decrease the number of student absences, and 3) Create a culture where every student feels like they belong. Throughout the school year, we will share how we are progressing towards meeting our goals.
There’s a lot happening at BHS throughout the next several weeks. Keep in mind that we only have about three weeks left in the first quarter, so now’s the time to check your student’s grades and remind them to get everything completed and turned in!
I hope you all have a great weekend, and we will see everyone back on Monday!
In service to our Bulldogs.

Hello Families,
Our picture day this past week on Wednesday was awesome. It was great to see all of the kids dressed up to have their pictures taken by Dingo Photography. It’s been a pleasure getting to know more students and their interests these past few weeks.
Enjoy the weather this weekend, and we’ll see everyone on Monday.
Thank you, and have a nice weekend.
Joe Moorehead, Dean of Students
