Elijah, a 7th grader on Team 1, is being recognized as Student of the Month for his intelligence, athleticism, humor, and competitive spirit. Elijah enjoys playing sports, running, working out, reading, watching TV, and playing games. He is interested in learning more about financial literacy and hopes to one day start his own business or purchase and renovate a home to sell. His favorite book is Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer, and he especially enjoys fiction and fantasy. Elijah’s favorite subject is Math, as he aspires to become an engineer. He also credits his 5th grade teacher, Mr. Fredrick from Harding Elementary, as an inspiring role model who shared wisdom that continues to motivate him.

Sadie, a 7th grader on Team 1, is recognized as Student of the Month for her humor, outgoing personality, kindness, caring nature, and strong work ethic. Sadie enjoys dancing and is also practicing nail art, hoping to turn it into a way to earn money and treat herself to something special. One of her proudest accomplishments is learning her aerial, a cartwheel without hands. She is motivated to earn all good grades to make her family proud. Sadie is currently reading Dracula’s Brunch Club, a fiction novel. Her favorite subjects are ELA and Social Studies—she loves ELA because reading and writing bring her joy and she appreciates Mrs. Donoff’s teaching. She enjoys Social Studies because Mrs. Hartman’s fun, silly personality makes learning about the past exciting. Sadie is inspired by Mrs. Lerch, who is always cheerful and encourages others, reminding Sadie of her own love for helping people.
