Principal Message Principal Message

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

This cold week has come to an end. And if anyone wants to know what to get me for Christmas a computer that can render video faster so I can get out last nights concert recording sooner would be on the top of the list.

We had an exciting week before Christmas here. Pancake breakfast by school council on Tuesday, hot lunch from subway sponsored by DRAX on Wednesday (Thursday for those who missed for no busses). Our Christmas Craft day and rescheduled Christmas Concert on Thursday and a Movie Friday afternoon in the Gym.

I was so happy with the turn out we had for our Christmas Concert. It is always a worry when we have to reschedule things that turn out will suffer, but our town showed up in force. Thank you for being such a wonderful audience!

Our school will be closed until January 5th. Thank you for an amazing 2025 and we are looking forward to more of the same in 2026.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out by calling the school at 780-325-3858 or emailing me at alanstoy@gypsd.ca

Sincerely,

Alan Stoyles

Spotlight on School Improvement: School Community Spotlight on School Improvement: School Community

This section of our news letters often focuses on the academics and supports of Wildwood School. I though that going into our Christmas break would be a good time to talk about another important aspect of school, community. Our school may be small but our sense of community is all the stronger for it. Students and staff regularly support each other across grades, through collaboration, reading buddies, trading classes for courses for Music and French. Events like our Christmas concert really are a chance to showcase the school family we have created here and invite our family and friends to join in. From our school family to all of your families Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years!

FOPLS FOPLS

Our students from Evansview, Wildwood, and Grand Trunk High School are coming together under one roof — and we want to make sure they have a playground that brings them together too!

The Friends of Pembina Learning Society (FOPLS) is running a raffle fundraiser to help create a fun, safe, and engaging space where kids can play, grow, and make memories for years to come.

Your support will help make this playground a place our children are proud to call their own!
