From the Principal
Hello Lion families,
Thank you for a wonderful first week of school! It was a joy to see so many smiling faces at Meet the Teacher Night and throughout the first days of school. Our students have returned eager to learn, and our teachers are excited and prepared to provide engaging, high-quality learning experiences for every child.
This past week, students have been learning and practicing school routines and procedures to help ensure a safe, positive, and successful learning environment. We are proud of how quickly they have adjusted and embraced the new school year.
We are also thrilled to share some exciting news regarding our campus's academic progress. According to the recently released TEA Accountability Ratings, our campus has improved from an F rating to a C rating, reflecting an impressive 24-point increase. This significant growth is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our teachers, staff, students, and families.
We sincerely thank you for your continued support and partnership. This achievement would not have been possible without our strong school community working together toward student success. While we celebrate this milestone, we remain committed to continuous improvement and ensuring every student reaches their full academic potential.
We look forward to an incredible year of learning and growth!
Warm regards-
-Esmeralda Garza, Principal

Student Lunch Schedule for Parents Having Lunch With Their Child
Designated tables on the cafeteria stage are reserved for parents who wish to eat with their child during lunch. Parents may only dine with their own child, and sharing food with other students is not permitted. Visitors are not allowed to eat with students who are not their child, nor may they purchase or share food with other students.
Additionally, restricting food sharing protects students with allergies and dietary restrictions. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us provide a positive and secure mealtime experience for everyone.
*During Interim Assessments and STAAR state assessments, we will have a closed campus, which means no visitors allowed on those days due to students testing.

Award Ceremonies and Birthday Treats
As a reminder, treats such as cupcakes and cookies for a birthday can be brought to the birthday student and left at the front office. The treats will be delivered after 2 pm. Items must be pre-packaged and store-bought. Please ensure that your child's name, teacher, and grade level are on the items to ensure prompt delivery.
For any celebrations that include award ceremonies, please do not bring helium balloons because they set off the fire alarm.
