Summit Hill Elementary
February - Fly on the Wall
Message from Principal Aronow
Summit Hill Families!
I hope you and your family enjoyed the surprise Winter Break: Part 2 and stayed safe during the ice storm. We are excited to welcome everyone back and hear all about the winter adventures from our students on Monday. I wanted to share a few important February events for you to keep in mind.
Due to the weather, we have made a couple of schedule adjustments:
-
The Great Kindness Challenge has been moved to February 2โ6. Keep sending those cereal boxes to school with your student. Weโre looking forward to a week focused on kindness and positive choices.
-
Our 100th Day of School has been changed to Tuesday, February 3. We canโt wait to celebrate this fun milestone with our students!
We are also excited to introduce a NEW Perfect Attendance incentive beginning Monday, February 2. In addition to our monthly Perfect Attendance lunch pass, one student from each grade level will be selected to receive four reserved, front-row seats at the end-of-year awards ceremony or PK graduation. This incentive is designed to celebrate and encourage strong attendance throughout the remainder of the year.
February 2-6 is also Counselor Appreciation Week, and we will be celebrating our amazing school counselor, Mrs. Mandi, for the guidance and support she provides to our students and families. In addition, we recognize SRO Appreciation Day on February 12. If you see Mrs. Mandi or Officer Ozuna on campus, please help us show them how much they are appreciated.
Thank you for your flexibility and continued support. We are looking forward to a great February ahead and appreciate your partnership in helping our students be present, engaged, and successful every day.
As always, if you have any questions, please reach out at 903-745-4100 or at Aronow.Rebecca@HoweISD.net. Thank you for partnering with us on this journey of growth!
Warm regards,
Rebecca Aronow
