Summer Brings Fun Fridays!

Each Friday in the summer, we plan for an extra fun activity and a dress up day. All the dress up days are designed to be simple ones you can do with things you have at home, please don’t feel obligated to buy anything to make this happen. These are in place to help children prepare for similar dress up days in school. Staff and children will both participate in dressing up!

We will provide Strive shirts for each of the children. For more info on specific activities or dress up days, check out the weekly newsletter.

Autism Alliance of Michigan Zoo Walk

Save the date - Saturday, September 20th is the AAoM's annual Zoo Walk at the Detroit Zoo! Strive Center will have a team and we'd love you to join our team and come to the zoo. It's a great day for families to get into the zoo early, enjoy a resource fair, and everything the zoo has to offer all day. We'll share more info about joining our team as the event gets closer.

June Brought Lots of Learning

The Tree of Possibilities is more than just a logo at Strive Center! We celebrate all the little victories - for every new skill a child learns, we give him a leaf or an apple sticker to put on his very own Tree of Possibilities poster. We keep one poster here at the center, next to his table, and one goes home, so families can celebrate all the little victories too. In June, our learners acquired 910 new skills! That brings our total for this year to 3,055 new skills!
