"Growing Minds, Nurturing Potential, Producing Excellence"
Principal's Message
Greetings Families,
This is our final Parent Newsletter for the 25-26 school year. As we enter the final week of the school year, I want to personally thank you for your partnership and support. Together, we have watched our Coyote scholars grow, achieve, and rise to new levels of success. This has been a year marked by hard work, high expectations, and a relentless commitment from our teachers to ensure every child reaches their full potential.
With just 4½ days remaining, I want to emphasize that every day still matters. Attendance continues to be crucial, as learning is still taking place across all grade levels. Classrooms remain active with engaging lessons, fun end-of-year activities, and important assessments that allow our scholars to showcase all they have learned.
Let’s continue to finish strong because at SH Crowley, learning doesn’t stop until the very last bell. Thank you for trusting us with your children and for being an essential part of their success. The mission is possible, and our scholars are living proof each and every day.
With appreciation,
Dr. Runnels,
SHC Principal
ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE: LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL
Coyote Families,
THANK YOU for making sure your scholar is at school daily! Our overall attendance this year is up in comparison to last year. The challenge is to FINISH THE LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL STRONG, REACHING OUR DAILY ATTENDANCE GOAL!🥊. Students are marked PRESENT when seated by 9:30AM.
🎯 Our Goal: 95% or higher EVERY day!
Here’s how we can improve together:
✔️ Get your scholar to school on time (7:35 AM)
✔️ Avoid unnecessary absences
✔️ Schedule appointments outside school hours when possible
Let’s finish strong and keep building consistent attendance habits for our scholars. We can do this together! Thank you for partnering with us to ensure our Coyotes arrive on time and ready to learn every day!
Parents can email doctors and absence notes to the following:

Health and Wellness
HEALTH REMINDERS
While regular attendance is essential for learning and success, health comes first. If your child is feeling ill, please keep them home and consult your pediatrician. Symptoms that may indicate your child is sick or contagious include fever (100.4°F or higher), chills, coughing, sneezing, and a runny nose. Together, we can keep our students learning while also keeping our students and staff healthy and safe.
In the event your child is absent due to sickness, please send an absent note and/or doctors note to the front office upon return to school.

Safety Reminder: Morning Drop-Off & Afternoon Dismissal
Arrival and Dismissal Safety Reminders
Student safety is always our top priority. We are noticing an increase in parents dropping off students in the front of the building between 7:10–7:35 AM, while buses are actively arriving and unloading. This creates a serious safety concern, as students may be walking or running between moving buses when exiting vehicles in the front drive.
Arrival: The front entrance is reserved for our 10 buses, 3 daycare vans, walkers, and RISE program. Please do not stop or park in the bus lanes to walk your child to the door or have them walk between buses to the front door. All car riders must use the back of the building for drop-off each morning.
Tardies: When arriving after 7:40, students are tardy. A parent or guardian must walk the student inside the building and sign them in.
Dismissal: All car riders must be picked up through the car line in the back of the building. If your child is a walker, families may not wait at the cafeteria doors. Parents must wait in the designated grassy areas at both corners of the building facing McCart to ensure a safe and organized dismissal.
Thank you for partnering with us by following these safety procedures so we can prevent accidents and keep every child safe.
