K8 Community Memo

School starts in just three weeks, and we are excited to welcome everyone back! Our maintenance and custodial staff are working hard to get our school dressed up and ready for the new year.

As we prepare to return, we want every student and family to know: You matter. We care about you. You belong here. Our school is more than a building—it is a community where kindness, connection, and caring for one another are at the heart of everything we do.

We also extend a heartfelt thank-you to the firefighters working tirelessly to protect our community from the surrounding wildfires. We are deeply grateful for their courage and service.

If you have friends or family members who are new to our community, they can enroll online. Parents of returning students should log in to Skyward and complete the First Day Packet for each student. This can also be completed at our Block Party on August 18 from 4–7 PM.

Enjoy the remaining weeks of summer. We care about you, you belong here, and we can’t wait to see you soon!

Personal Supplies

Backpack (Large enough to fit a folder, and no wheels please)

A complete extra set of clothes labeled in a Ziploc bag (socks, underwear, pants, and shirt.

Water bottle with name on it that can be sent home and washed weekly!

• 2 boxes of Kleenex

• 2 packages of baby wipes (we prefer Huggies, Kirkland Signature, Parents Choice, or Pampers, they tend to work better than others)

• 1 box of washable markers

• 2 box of Ziploc quart bags

• 2 box of Ziploc gallon bags

• 6 glue sticks

• 1 bottle Elmer’s liquid glue

• 2 Packs Disinfecting Wipes

• Backpack
• Pencil Box
• Box of 24 crayons
• Pack Elmer glue sticks
• 1 box #2 Ticonderoga pencils
• 1 box-colored pencils
• 1 box - markers
• 1 box Kleenex
• 1 box of Ziploc bags - quart and gallon
• 1 Student sized scissors
• 1 package disinfectant wipes
• 5 folders with pockets (take home, reading, writing, math and science)
• 1 pair of child size wired headphones - (no ear buds please)

• Hand Held Pencil Sharpener
• 2 Boxes of kleenex

• Lined paper college ruled (3)
