๐๐๏ธ Planning Ahead for a Great School Year! ๐๏ธ๐
We may only be one week into the new school year, but we know many families are already looking ahead and planning their next vacation, weekend getaway, family adventure, or doctorโs appointment! โ๏ธ๐ด๐ฉบ
To help make planning a little easier, weโre sharing our Vacation & Appointment Planner! ๐
โจ
We know life happens, and we completely understand that our Scouts will occasionally need to miss school. Our goal is simply to encourage families to plan ahead whenever possible so our students can make the most of their time at school. ๐
Every day at school is another opportunity to learn, grow, make memories, and spend time with friends! ๐๐
๐ Every day counts. Every Scout matters! ๐
Take a look at the planner below and start planning ahead! ๐๏ธโจ

๐๐ Upcoming Reading Diagnostic
Weโre excited for our upcoming Reading Diagnostic for students in grades 1โ4! This is a fun check-in that gives our Scouts an opportunity to show what they know and demonstrate their reading skills. ๐โจ
The diagnostic helps our teachers learn more about each studentโs strengths and areas for growth so we can set personalized reading goals and provide the right support throughout the school year.
Families, thereโs no need to study or prepare in a special wayโjust encourage your Scout to do their best, take their time, and show what they know! Weโre looking forward to seeing all of the great things our Scouts can do! ๐๐

Thoughts from Dr. Tollison:
Happy Friday, Nike Families!
A huge thank you to Mrs. Pogue for organizing an amazing Fredbird assembly for our Nike students! Fredbird brought lots of energy and excitement while reminding our students of four important lessons: be a good teammate, be active, be responsible, and be yourself. It was a fantastic assembly filled with smiles, enthusiasm, and school spirit. We were also thrilled to have more than 80 Nike family members join us to enjoy the fun! Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a memorable experience for our students. โค๏ธโพ
We have had quite a few students out sick this week. Please help us keep our Nike community healthy by reminding your child to wash their hands frequently, practice good hygiene, and do their part to prevent the spread of germs. If your child is sick and will be absent from school, please remember to call the Nike Elementary office before 9:00 a.m. to report their absence.
Thank you for helping us keep our students and staff healthy!
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out by calling the school office at 636-271-1444 or emailing jtollison@mvr3.k12.mo.us.
