Hello Everyone,

What a busy and exciting week we had here at Pittaway! We successfully practiced our first fire drill this week, and everyone did a fantastic job. We also celebrated our very first Bee Day.

During morning arrival, the children were greeted by Bumbles and loved giving him high fives. Inside the classrooms, students engaged in activities centered on our core values: Be Safe and Be Kind. Teachers led discussions and read stories that highlighted these values, and the children shared their own ideas about what it means to be safe and kind at school. Students practiced taking turns, helping a friend, and using kind words during play. They also earned bee stickers as recognition for showing positive behavior throughout the day. In addition to these discussions, some classes incorporated creative projects such as making bee hats.

It was a wonderful day filled with joy, learning, and excitement. We look forward to continuing to celebrate and practice our core values each day in the classroom.

Take Care,

Amanda
