We look forward to connecting with our families!
3. We will have a District-Wide Veteran's Day program on Tuesday, November 10th from 8:30am- 9:30am in the HS gym. Students will report to SEMINAR to start the day. We will have the assembly in the morning & follow a two-hour delay schedule. More information coming soon - families are welcome to attend & all students are invited to wear red, white and blue. See flyer below!
4. Fifth grade families - please see Schoology message from Mrs. Young. Our 5th graders will shop at the Book Fair on 11/12. Please upload money into their e-wallet if they plan to shop! The Book Fair will also be open during PTC at our Elementary School if anyone wants to stop by!
5. Please continue to remind students of the importance of keeping their hands to themselves at all times and treating others with kindness and respect. Reinforcing these expectations consistently will help us maintain a safe and positive learning environment for everyone.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Conferences are Thursday 11/12 and we would love to meet with you! For all students in grades 6-12, conferences will be walk-in only. They will run from 12-3 and 4-7pm at Whiteford MS/HS.
Fifth grade families: Please sign up with your child's HOMEROOM (Seminar) Teacher. If you have specific concerns about a subject matter that your student's homeroom teacher does not teach, please reach out to that teacher directly through Schoology. All teachers are providing feedback about their content area, so you will hear about all subject areas at your conference.

Winter sports are right around the corner! Bobcat fans, be sure to check out the upcoming Middle School Winter Athletic Schedules and mark your calendars to support our student-athletes!
Please remember that all athletic schedules are subject to change, especially during the winter and spring seasons due to inclement weather.

WEEKLY ATHLETIC ELIGIBILITY
Athletic eligibility is checked weekly for all middle and high school student-athletes. Parents will receive an Infinite Campus alert from their building office if their student has a D or F in any class on Fridays, and the Athletic Office will begin reaching out to Athletes that are failing courses on Monday.
Student-athletes are encouraged to start the year strong, stay on top of assignments, and communicate with their teachers.
Student Grades and Attendance Reporting
Infinite Campus Parent Portal: Student Registration, marking period and semester grades, credits, and attendance are always visible in the Parent Portal throughout the school year. An app can be downloaded to your phone, or you can click HERE
Schoology: Our K-12 teaching staff uses Schoology to communicate with students and families, post assignments and grades, and sometimes include instructional videos. Here is a Schoology Parent Account video sharing introductory information about Schoology. If your family has yet to access Schoology or downloaded the App for your phone, you can email your child’s teacher for log-in details or contact Ashley Van Camp at ashley.vancamp@whiteford.k12.mi.us for support.
Infinite Campus Attendance Update : Parents and guardians will now receive an automated phone call if their student is marked as an unexcused absence during the first two hours of the school day. If your student will be absent, please contact the attendance line as soon as possible.
