Welcome back from spring break! The school year always seems to fly by from this point forward, with so many exciting activities, sports, clubs, and celebrations filling our days. While the activities and events come rapidly, these moments give us a chance to pause and appreciate the incredible effort and growth we've seen from our students and the unwavering support from our school community. This is truly a special place, and I am so proud of all we’ve accomplished together, and all we will continue to do, as we look ahead to the rest of the 2024-2025 school year.

Please don't forget about our upcoming MCAS exams:

• Math MCAS (all grades) on May 20–21
• Science MCAS (Grade 5 only) on May 6–7

MRMS Grading Practices - Family Survey: We encourage all families to complete this quick survey to provide input on our grading practices as we look to norm grading practice across the building, increase transparency, and improve communication with families and caregivers.

Facilities Project Updates: Please visit the Monomoy School District's website for updates on the building committee! Come by to view the samples at the middle school.

Just a Good Kid Award: The Rotary Club of Harwich-Dennis honored a number of Monomoy middle and high school students with its "Just A Good Kid" award. As the Rotary Club states, "These kids are not necessarily the ones who are always recognized, but rather the ones who enjoy school, work hard, and volunteer to help others. They are respectful, courteous, honest, responsible, and a good friend." Congratulations to MRMS students Emily, Liam, and Lydia! It was an honor to share this moment with you and your families!

School Council (4/28): Our next MRMS School Council meeting is April 28th at 3:30pm. We will be getting an update from the building committee and an update from the curriculum department. If you would like to join please email adudley@monomoy.edu.

Arrivals After 8:45: Students who arrive after 8:45, should be dropped at the front door and need to sign into the office. We will be closing the side doors at 8:45 in the mornings to help make our morning routine smoother. Thanks!
