The Town of Sunnyvale is excited to announce that country music duo Maddie & Tae will headline a full evening of live music, fireworks, a drone show, food and family fun at the Town’s Sunnyfest Celebration on Friday, June 28, 2024. The “Red, White and Boom!” Sunnyfest Celebration will begin at 6 p.m. at Town Center Park, 356 E. Tripp Road.

Award-winning duo Maddie & Tae channel their unbreakable bond, honest songwriting and “some of the tightest harmonies on Music Row” (Rolling Stone) into their new collection of songs Through The Madness Vol. 2, out now. Together as longtime friends and music collaborators, Maddie Font and Taylor Kerr co-wrote each of the project’s tracks, as well as all eight songs on Through The Madness Vol. 1. The pair drew praise for their Gold-certified The Way It Feels album, including the Double Platinum-certified No. 1 hit, “Die From A Broken Heart.” With “Die From A Broken Heart” topping the country airplay charts, Maddie & Tae became the first and only female twosome with multiple No. 1s.

The evening’s live music will also feature Country music artist Matt Stell, who broke through with the 2X PLATINUM “Prayed For You,” the only debut single to top the Billboard Country Airplay chart in 2019. The PLATINUM follow-up, “Everywhere But On,” made him one of just a handful of new artists to hit the top twice in a row in six years. In the process, he racked up more than half a BILLION total global streams across his catalog while surpassing 27 million views alone for the official music video for “Prayed For You.”

The Surf City AllStars featuring original Beach Boy David Marks will start the night off at 6 p.m. The Surf City AllStars are the only band in the world to have played and sang lead vocals in both the Beach Boys band and the Jan & Dean band.

After all that great music, the night will wrap up with an amazing fireworks and drone show. The festivities will also include all kinds of family fun, including bounce houses, a train ride, games, food vendors and more.

This year’s Sunnyfest will also celebrate our community spirit. While admission to the family-friendly event is free, we kindly ask attendees to bring a jar of peanut butter or canned food to help fill the local Sharing Life food pantry.
