Dear Wolman Families,

Welcome to a brand new school year at Wolman Elementary! We hope you and your family have enjoyed a wonderful summer filled with fun, relaxation, and special memories. It was such a joy seeing many of our Explorers at our Popsicle Playdate last week, and we loved watching students reconnect with friends while meeting some of our newest Explorers. Also last week, our amazing Wolman staff returned to campus and spent time learning together through professional development, preparing classrooms, and getting everything ready for an incredible year ahead. Their excitement, dedication, and love for our students have been evident every step of the way.

We are thrilled to begin this year's adventure with our school theme, "Learning Takes Us Everywhere!" We can't wait to explore, discover, and grow together as we embark on another exciting year of learning.

Families should have received a welcome email from their child's homeroom teacher last week. If you did not receive an email, please stop by the LGI during Meet the Teacher later today, and our staff will be happy to provide you with your child's homeroom teacher assignment. If you do not know the room number of your child's teacher, there will be many Wolman Staff Members available to assist you in the halls; just look for smiling faces and red shirts!

We look forward to welcoming all of our Explorers at Meet the Teacher later today; please see the flyer below for details. Parents are asked to bring their child's backpack (so we can attach their dismissal tag) along with school supplies. If you purchased school supplies from our Wolman PTA, please go to the gym to receive your child's supplies. Please be sure to review the information below for important details about the start of the school year. We are excited to partner with you as we begin another amazing year at Wolman Elementary—because Learning Takes Us Everywhere!

SIGN UP COMING SOON!!!

Lunch is a fun, social time of day for our Explorers! After the first couple of weeks of school, once students have had a chance to practice routines/procedures and get to know one another, we will begin welcoming lunch visitors. As a reminder only parents/guardians, non-school aged children and immediate family listed on the lunch visitor permission form are able to visit for lunch. Due to limited space, visitors are limited to 2 visitors per student (non school age children are counted as visitors). Each parent must sign up for their own seat and a separate seat for any non school age siblings.

Lunch Visits will begin on Tuesday, September 2. Here are some reminders for when lunch visits begin...PLEASE REMEMBER when signing up to include your child's name and teacher in the comments. All visitors must show a physical, hard copy government issued ID (driver's license or passport) when you arrive for lunch. We ask that each student be limited to having a lunch visit one day per week to allow all Explorers the opportunity to have a lunch visit. If you are not able to come to lunch after you signed up, please remove your name from the list. Also, please be aware that a few minutes prior to your child's lunch time ending, the monitors will direct your child to join his/her class; this helps with making our cafeteria exit procedures run more smoothly. The following steps will guide you in signing up for lunch times to visit your child and with providing lunch visitor permission. Please call 281 234 1700 with any questions. Thank you!

Step 1:

Please sign up for date/time of lunch visit here: Link

If needed...

Step 2:

For immediate family visitors (limited to grandparents, non-school aged siblings, and stepparents) who are NOT the parents/guardians the online Lunch Visitor form must be filled out by the parent/guardian BEFORE the lunch visit. Link
