Course selection for the 2027-2028 school year is almost here! The week of November 2nd, our counseling team will visit 9th grade social studies classes to walk students through next yearโ€™s course options and help them update their Personal Graduation Plan (PGP) in SchooLinks. Each student will also receive a purple Rising 10th Grade Course Card 2027-2028 during this presentation.

From November 4th through November 6th, we will meet individually with each student to review their PGP and course card and make sure their 2027-2028 course requests are entered in SchooLinks. Please have your student bring their completed purple course card, signed by a parent or guardian, to their individual meeting. Meeting days are based on your studentโ€™s social studies teacher, as shown below.

Key Dates

  • Week of November 2nd: Course selection class presentations

  • Wednesday, November 4th: Individual meetings and course cards due for students in Brazil, Hunt, and Humphries social studies classes

  • Thursday, November 5th: Individual meetings and course cards due for students in McDonald and Lundy social studies classes

  • Friday, November 6th: Remaining individual meetings and any outstanding course cards

  • Wednesday, November 11th: Rising 9th and 10th Grade Course Selection Fair and Parent Information Night

Helpful Resources

Rising 10th Course Selection Class Presentation
Course Selection Family Presentation (November 11th)

We encourage you to look through these materials and start having conversations at home about your studentโ€™s courses for next year. The Course Selection Fair on November 11th is a great opportunity to learn more about specific courses and ask questions, and students will still have time to adjust their requests afterward. We look forward to meeting with your students soon!

Sincerely,

At Argyle ISD, keeping our students safe, healthy, and supported is a responsibility we take seriously and share with our families and community. Throughout October, we're highlighting important topics related to school safety, fire prevention, student well-being, healthy choices, and personal safety.

Our Stronger Together Student Well-Being Guide provides families with practical reminders and information, including campus safety measures, fire prevention tips, healthy habits, and ways to support students at home. We encourage families to review the guide and talk with their children about these topics as we continue working together to maintain safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments.
