Sixth Grade Treated to Author Visit Sixth Grade Treated to Author Visit

On Thursday, May 15th, our sixth-grade students enjoyed a special visit from author Diane Salerni. She shared insights into the creative writing process, including the research and travel she undertakes to develop ideas for her stories. Ms. Salerni also gave an engaging overview of her latest book, Tontine Caper. The students thoroughly enjoyed her presentation, and we are incredibly grateful for her visit. A heartfelt thank-you goes out to Mrs. Lesniak and Mrs. D'Angelo for organizing this wonderful event!

Spring Fling Success Spring Fling Success

Thank you to all of our parent and staff volunteers that helped to make the Spring Fling a success. We had just under half of our students attend on Friday night. Students had the opportunity to play basketball, hang out in the library and play board games, or dance the night away in the cafeteria with our guest DJ, Mr. Boykin. Student Council organized the event and had snacks and drinks for sale as a fundraiser for future events. A great time was had by all.

End of Year PBIS Reward Trip to The Campus End of Year PBIS Reward Trip to The Campus

We are excited to announce our end of year field trip to The Campus. When we went last year, the students had a blast ice skating, playing whiffle ball and Gaga ball, and even climbing the ropes course. Permission slips are being handed out today to students that did not get suspended this school year and who had less than 8 referrals. Sixth graders will be going on Wednesday, May 28th and seventh graders will be going on Thursday, May 29th. Students that are unable to attend will stay at school for a normal day.

May's PBIS Focus... Cell Phones Off and Away May's PBIS Focus... Cell Phones Off and Away

This month we will be focusing again on keeping cell phones off and away. The expectation is that when students enter the building, their cell phones are turned off and put away. Students should not have their phones out during class, in the hallways or during lunch. Students that follow this expectation for the month of May will be be rewarded at the end of the month.

Thank you for supporting this initiative!
