K8 Community Memo

Working Together to Support Every Learner
Across our school community, staff are deeply engaged in powerful, purpose-driven work to improve teaching and learning for every student. From Pre-K through 12th grade, teachers are meeting weekly in Professional Learning Communities to review student data, design thoughtful assessments, and plan lessons that meet the diverse needs of their learners. Meanwhile, our K-8 math team is embracing the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum with enthusiasm—refining their craft through training and collaboration to help students build strong conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills.
This work is supported by a robust Student Support Team that meets weekly to ensure every child receives the academic, social, and emotional support they need to thrive. With representation from our counselor, school nurse, behavior interventionist, and more, this team brings together a wealth of expertise to provide timely, tiered interventions. Additionally, our middle school team is implementing the Gradient Learning Platform to personalize learning and support the whole child in new and innovative ways.
We are also proud of our primary teachers who are diving deep into LETRS® training to strengthen their understanding of the science of reading, and of our K-8 paraeducators who are participating in ongoing professional development to better support student learning. Each of these efforts reflects the unwavering dedication of our staff to their students and their profession. I are incredibly grateful for our staff's time, energy, and heart—and for the shared belief that every student can grow, succeed, and shine.
