Welcome Back from Ms. Transtrum

Dear AJ Winters Families,

Welcome Back!

We have had a great start to the school year! Our school is growing, and we are so excited to welcome new families and students to AJ Winters Elementary. We are grateful to have you as part of our Teddy Bear family!

Digital Back-to-School Forms

Thank you for your patience as we learn and navigate our new digital back-to-school forms. We are working through the paperwork and will be reaching out to families who need technology assistance or still have forms to complete.

If you haven't already, please take a moment to log in and complete your child's forms online. Thank you for helping us get this process up and running!

The Power of ONE!

This year, our school theme is “The Power of One!”

Last week, I visited classrooms and read the book The Power of One with our students. We talked about how one small act of kindness can create a powerful moment and how each of us has the ability to make a difference.

Students took home a bracelet as a reminder of the Power of One and the important message: “I Matter! You Matter!”

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Please note that Parent-Teacher Conferences have been moved to October 21st and 22nd. Elementary students will not attend school on October 22nd due to conferences.

School is Better with YOU Here!

Our attendance theme this year is “School is Better with You HERE!” We truly mean that!

When students are at school, they are learning, connecting with friends and teachers, participating in activities, and contributing to our school community. Your child’s presence makes a difference!

We know that illness and unexpected circumstances happen, but whenever your child is able to be at school, we want them here—learning, growing, and being part of our Teddy Bear family.

Every school day provides opportunities to learn new skills, build relationships, practice important routines, and make memories with classmates. Each student matters, and our school is better because they are here!

Digital Back-To-School Paperwork!!

Thank you for your patience as we have worked through several challenges with our new online paperwork. We still are searching for answers to solve some issues.

Follow the steps below to complete all of the REQUIRED back-to-school forms. If you need help logging in for the first time please email etranstrum@blsd.net or lcrane@blsd.net and we will share your child's access code and password.

If you ran into the issue of needing a verification email that you never received, please reach out. We think we have a solution for this issue.

Thank you for your help and patience transitioning to this process.
