PTO Meeting - Wednesday October 8 at 6pm (VIRTUAL)
Please join us for our second NRMS PTO meeting of the year, to be held VIRTUALLY on Wednesday, Oct. 8th at 6pm. Meetings will alternate on the second Wednesday of the month between in-person and virtual sessions.
The NRMS PTO is excited to support another great year of learning, growth and fun for our students! We hope to "see" you there and feel free to check out the NRMS PTO website!

TERM 1 INTERIM REPORTS
October 9th marks the halfway point for Term 1. As you are able to monitor your child's progress on Aspen, our online grading and attendance program, we recommend you check your child's academic progress to date. On October 17th, Aspen will provide you with detailed information regarding your child's completion of assignments and attendance, as well as information on classwork, homework, quizzes, and test scores. Hopefully, this information will enable you to have meaningful conversations with your child about their progress and/or expectations.
Nauset App Help Page
Families should download the Nauset App to receive school updates, alerts, and messages. Please note: some people have mistakenly downloaded the Thrillshare App instead. The Thrillshare App is for staff only and does not allow families to log in. To help, we have created the Nauset App Help Page on the district website under the Students and Families tab. Hello NRMS Families,
This year we are focused on creating more opportunities for student leadership. The newly formed Crew is a group of student ambassadors for the school. We have a strong group of 7th and 8th graders. The goal is to have 18 students from each of these grade levels, 7th and 8th, to join the Crew. We have all of the 7th grade spots filled and we have just a couple of 8th grade spots still open. This week, members of the Crew started reading the morning announcements over the PA system.
This week, we held the induction ceremony for the National Junior Honor Society. This group of 8th graders is already off and running with community service projects. 7th graders should be on the lookout in the spring for information about how they can apply to be part of NJHS next year.
A reminder that one way to support field trips and other special events at the middle school is to make a donation to the NRMS Education Foundation. You can visit the website at any time to make your donation. And, please shop at Friends Market in Orleans on Saturday October 4 as 11% of sales from that day will go to the NRMS Education Foundation. Thanks in advance for supporting our students, staff, and school community. Members of the NJHS will be at Friends Market on Saturday to say thanks (and encourage your donation).
