ALL BULLDOG

This month is mental health awareness month. Not only have classes gotten busier and more difficult but activities have ramped up to lightning speed and with that, stress levels are elevated. It is also national suicide prevention awareness month. Suicide has impacted all of us recently and so we are making sure student mental health needs are at the forefront. Tomorrow on 9/8 is 988 day, which helps all of us remember that by dialing 988, you can always find someone on the other end of the line to help with anything that is troubling you. Wednesday, we have an assembly with Jaime Puerta, president and co-founder of V.O.I.D. "Victims of Illicit Drugs." This will be a powerful message from a father who lost his 16 year-old son Danie to fentanyl. I would like to invite any parents/guardians or community members to come to this assembly Wednesday morning at 8:00 AM. Our balcony will be available for you to sit in to hear a very important message that all of us need to hear. Please make your way to the MJSHS auditorium between 7:45 and 8:00 AM at the auditorium doors. We hope you can join us.

Congratulations to the Cross Country team on a solid showing at the home meet this past weekend! 8th Grader Micah Miller finished 2nd in the boys Jr. High race. 8th grader Lillian Friedrichs finished 5th in the girls Jr. High race. Ross Kabriel finished 4th in the boys JV race. Lady Dog Lilly Coble medaled and finished 20th in the girls Varsity race. Bulldogs Aiden Griffin (20th) and Jakobe McClung (14th) both medaled in the boys Varsity race as well.

Students in horticulture class were busy gathering leaves to study in the coming week this last Friday.
