Clearspring Howl

Thank you for making sure your students are ready for school each day in the appropriate clothing for outdoor recess, checking folders and communicating when needed. It's going to be another great week at Clearspring.

We know Friday was tough for everyone and appreciate your patience as we got everyone to school safely. We're going to have an amazing few weeks before break with lots of learning and memorable experiences.

We didn't want to spring dress up days on you the night before, so for planning purposes if your student would like to participate in our December to Remember theme days we would love to see their creativity. The staff will be participating all the month with students joining in the last full week. Do you think they can guess what holiday/winter movies the staff are dressing up as the first two weeks?

Fall Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) growth assessment results are available for parents and guardians to view in ParentVUE. Click the documents tile, then click the MAP Report-Fall 2025 link to see the report. Beginning with the fall 2025 results, MCPS is applying new national comparison data (norms). This means your student's RIT score is compared to a new national average, which may result in a higher percentile rank than in previous years, even though their actual RIT score hasn't changed. WINTER will be upon us shortly and and we'd love to highlight your family's traditions, hobbies and holidays during this season. Do you love winter sports? Snow Days? Matching Pajamas? Lighting Candles or putting up lights? Share a photo with us so we can celebrate all of our amazing families. Photos shared will be shown on morning announcements, slideshows within the building and in our Husky Howl. We can't wait to see your photos!
