Hello Raider Nation!

It's Homecoming Week, and the excitement is building! Tomorrow night, our Raiders take on Frisco Independence in our first Homecoming football game! We'll crown our Homecoming King and Queen before kickoff, with the ceremony beginning at 6:30 p.m. The celebration continues Saturday night with our Homecoming Dance at 8:00 p.m. If your student hasn't purchased their ticket yet, there's still time!

We've had plenty to celebrate this week across Raider Nation! This morning, our boys' cross-country team finished 3rd at the district meet, earning a trip to Regionals, while our girls captured their first 5A District Championship! Gemma Adimora led the way with a first-place overall finish and was named the district's Most Outstanding Runner. Coach Kevin Spruill was also recognized as the District Girls' Coach of the Year! Both teams will head to Lubbock in two weeks to compete at the Regional Meet. Our volleyball team also picked up a huge road win against Lone Star on Tuesday night, securing their spot in the playoffs! They'll host Celina on Monday night for a tune-up game as they prepare for postseason play.

On Saturday, our Richland Band takes the field at the UIL Region Marching Competition at Little Elm Stadium at 12:30 p.m. They've been working incredibly hard, and we can't wait to see them put on a show!

Homecoming is always a special time because it brings our entire community together to celebrate our school, our students, and the traditions we're building. I hope to see Raider Nation out in full force this weekend as we support our students in every aspect of campus life. Let's make our first Homecoming one to remember!

It's a great time to be a Richland Raider!

Let's Ride!

Together We Cultivate

Richlandโ€™s first true Homecoming celebration kicked off yesterday with an unforgettable parade around campus! Building on last yearโ€™s inaugural parade, this yearโ€™s event was bigger and better, featuring more than 35 groups and over 60 floats representing Richland athletics, fine arts, clubs, and student organizations. Led by the Prosper ISD Police Department and Prosper Fire Department, the nearly hour-long parade also featured district leadership, community leaders, campus staff, feeder-school representatives, and the 2026 Homecoming Court nominees. From creatively decorated golf carts to larger-than-life trailer displays, Raider pride was on full display!

Following the parade, the celebration continued inside the RHS Arena with a pep rally featuring performances by Richland Band, Choir, Cheer, and Raider Revel, led by our Student Spirit Leaders. Homecoming excitement continues throughout the week with themed dress-up days, Friday morningโ€™s student pep rally, and the big Homecoming football game Friday night against Independence High School. The festivities will wrap up Saturday with the Take Me to Rio Homecoming Dance beginning at 8:00 p.m. What a memorable way to celebrate this milestone and begin building Richland traditions for years to come! ๐Ÿ’œ

Together we Champion

The Raider Broadcast Network (RBN) took Homecoming coverage to the streetsโ€”literally! For the first time, Mr. Tran and his student-led broadcast team livestreamed a Richland event from the parade route, bringing the excitement directly to the homes of the Raider community. The broadcast featured interviews with parade participants and spectators, color commentary, and supporting newsroom graphics. This exciting milestone marks the first of what we hope will be many live broadcasts from Richland events!

BEST PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN TEXAS
Named by HEBโ€™s Excellence in Education Awards as the Best Large District in the State of Texas, Prosper ISD has an established 68-year history that is grounded in the humble roots of a farming community, now soaring to the fastest-growing school district in Texas, due in no small part to the pursuit of excellence in the arts, academics, and athletics. Our students and staff are routinely recognized on the local, state, and national levels for outstanding achievements, and our teachers are highly qualified experts who bring out the best in every student.

We are incredibly proud to share that Prosper ISD has officially been recognized as a Model Professional Learning Community (PLC) District by Solution Tree's Evidence of Effectiveness Committee. This is one of the most prestigious recognitions in education โ€” and it belongs to every single person who shows up for our students every day.

This distinction is not given lightly. It is earned โ€” through years of intentional collaboration, a relentless focus on learning, and a shared commitment to ensuring that every student in Prosper ISD has the opportunity to succeed at the highest levels.

ABOUT PROSPER ISD
Prosper ISD is a school district located north of Dallas in Collin and Denton Counties. The district spans approximately 58 square miles and serves more than 34,000 students in 20 elementary schools, 7 middle schools, 4 high schools, and one early childhood school.

๐Ÿซถ๐ŸผTHANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY FOR SUPPORTING OUR TEACHERS & STUDENTS
In November 2023, an overwhelming majority of voters approved $2.7 billion dollars to continue building excellence in Prosper ISD. Thank you for your continued financial commitment to our district.

And while our facilities are second to none, we know that it is the people who make the difference in Prosper ISD. From our bus drivers to our teachers to our teacher assistants, our staff is here to support students as they pursue their dreams of excellence in academics, fine arts, and athletics.
