Parkwood Weekly Updates

Dear Parkwood Families,

November is upon us, and as we prepare for a change in season, we hope that our families enjoyed the end of October with our annual Literacy Parade. It was wonderful to see students dressed in their literacy costumes, and our families truly enjoyed the event. A big thank you goes out to our teachers and staff who worked hard to provide a fun opportunity for our students and families.

This is such a wonderful time of the year! It’s hard to believe that we are already close to our winter season. As the days grow shorter and the cooler weather begins to settle in, I want to remind all families to dress appropriately for the weather. Please remember to label your student’s belongings with their names so that they can be located and returned when misplaced.

Upcoming Field Trips

We are excited for our upcoming field trips this week!

Date: Tuesday, November 5th

Grade Level: 3rd-5th grade
Destination: Miller Auditorium
Event: JazzReach | Hangin’ With The Giants https://efa-rep.org/jr

Date: Wednesday, November 6th

Grade Level: Kindergarten-2nd
Destination: Miller Auditorium
Event: Don't Let the Pidgeon Ride the Bus https://efa-rep.org/twu

Please remember to be on time, right when the bell rings at 8:44 AM, so you do not miss the field trip. Unfortunately, since so many classes are attending, we will not have a classroom available for students who arrive late. You would either need to drive them to Miller or take them home for the day.

Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. We look forward to a fantastic November filled with learning and fun!

Warm regards,

-Principal Jessica Rosecrans
