Interim Grade Reports: Friday, 12/20 Interim Grade Reports: Friday, 12/20

Interim grade reports will be issued next Friday, December 20. These will be used to determine continued eligibility for co-curricular activities (including sports, drama, and bowling) as well as for senior privileges.

The different types of grade reports can be confusing! Here is a brief explainer about the three different types:

  1. We send out weekly grade and attendance updates each Friday where another official report is not issued. As the title suggests, these are simply updates for parents/guardians and students of their current status. These are NOT official in any sense, just informational.

  2. On the last Friday of a month that isn't January or June, we send out Interim Grade Reports. These are more official than the weekly updates. They are used to determine continued eligibility for co-curriculars and senior privileges. They are "snapshot" grades in the sense that the semester has not finished.

  3. At the end of each semester, in January and June, we send out formal Grade Reports. These are what most people consider to be "report cards." These represent the final grades for the semester in each course; for high school students, this is when credit is awarded. These grades also go into students' grade point averages. As official grade reports, they also determine eligibility for students in sports under MIAA rules, even if it is in the middle of a season (such as in winter). June report cards determine initial eligibility for fall sports.

Congratulations! Congratulations!

General Dynamics is sponsoring a STEM engineering competition for all high schools in the county. The goal will be to build a launching device and will include both mechanical and coding work. The teams can include 3-5 high school students each, and General Dynamics will provide the materials for the build. Students in grades 9-12 who are interested in forming a team for Lee should see Mrs. Verdi.
