EISD Announces New Principal of Trinity Ranch Elementary
Elgin ISD has announced that Idalia Banda will assume the helm at Trinity Ranch Elementary School as its new principal.
Banda currently serves as EISD’s Bilingual/ESL Coordinator and has administrative experience in Elgin ISD.
“Ms. Banda is an exceptional leader with a talent for creating relationships,” Superintendent Dr. Jana Rueter said. “Trinity Ranch Elementary will be in good hands under her leadership.”
Since joining the EISD in 2015, Banda has established an impressive record of leadership focused on community engagement, instructional excellence, and student achievement. Before her current role in the Bilingual/ESL Department, she served as Assistant Principal at Neidig Elementary, where she collaborated with district leaders to enhance campus safety protocols. Additionally, she acted as the Summer School Principal during the summers of 2024 and 2025, ensuring that students who needed it most had access to continuous learning. Earlier in her tenure, she worked as the Instructional Coach at NES and was instrumental in founding a Parent Support Group, fostering dedicated parental involvement in a space for families and educators to connect and collaborate. Banda holds two degrees from The University of Texas at Austin: an undergraduate degree in Applied Learning and Development, and a master's degree in Educational Leadership and Policy.
“I love the Elgin community, and I feel honored and humbled to serve the incredible students, staff, and parents at Trinity Ranch Elementary,” Banda said.
