STUDENT LIGHTHOUSE APPLICATION
🌟 Let Your Patriot Shine! 🌟
It’s that time again—time to let your Patriot shine! We are excited to announce that applications for Student Lighthouse are officially OPEN! 🎉
Link to Google Form: Student Lighthouse Application
Students in ALL grade levels are encouraged to apply! Families are welcome to work together on the application, so parents/guardians can absolutely sit down with their student and help them complete it.
💡 A few important reminders:
🌟 Previous participation in Student Lighthouse does not guarantee a spot this year.
📝 Students will be selected based on the quality of their application responses and their enthusiasm during their interview with a member of our Faculty Lighthouse Team.
⏰ The application deadline is a HARD deadline.
🚨 No late applications will be accepted.
📅 Applications are due Friday, September 4th!
❤️ A Note for Parents
When a student is selected to serve on our Student Lighthouse Team, their parent/guardian will also be invited to serve on our Parent Lighthouse Team. We know life gets busy, and we truly appreciate our families who are willing to partner with us to make Independence Elementary an even better place!
Parent Lighthouse responsibilities will include:
⭐ Attending at least two meetings each semester
⭐ Helping set up or create a Parent Booth at our Fall Festival on November 13th from 4:00–6:00 PM
⭐ Sharing ideas and helping us find ways to make our school even better!
We are so excited to see our Patriots step up, share their ideas, and LEAD! 💙✨
ICE CREAM FOR THE YEAR
If you would like your child to receive ice cream every Friday, except on half days, send in $25 for the year by September 11th! That's 27 treats for the price of $25. Students will receive a punch card and get their treat!
Upcoming Events!
Our first Kona Ice Day of the year will be Friday, September 4th, 2026!
This Kona Ice visit is not free or for a celebration. The students will have to pay for it.
Parents, please write the students' names, circle the size they want, and include the money.
Clarification on the Souvenir Kona Cup: If they do not have the cup, they will purchase it for $6 dollars to receive the souvenir cup. If they already have the cup, they can bring it in on the day and have it refilled for $3.
