As we enter the month of March, there are a number of upcoming activities for students and families. Please take a few moments to read through the entire SHARK Alert to learn about the many events coming to CES and the Monomoy School District this month.

Children's Author to Visit CES

CES is excited to announce that Children's Author, Melissa Stewart, will be visiting our school on Monday, April 7th as part of our Read Across America celebration. Ms. Stewart has written a number of high-interest and critically-acclaimed non-fiction picture books. During her visit she will be debuting her most recent title, MEET THE MINI-MAMMALS.

Students can pre-order signed copies of her books. Books will be distributed on April 7th. Orders are due by March 17th.

Hard copies will be sent home via back pack mail or you can download and print the Book Order Form HERE.

CES Read Across America

SHARKS Love Non-Fiction!

So far, the non-fiction books have been racking up the wins! Our journey to Read Across America continues on this week with a match up between OHANA MEANS FAMILY and OUR POOL. Students will vote on their favorite during their Media Class. In the meantime, if you would like to watch and listen to these beautiful stories, please check out the CES Read Across America Playlist on our school's YouTube account. New videos are added each week during the competition.

Chatham Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

The PTO meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Media Center. Parents that would like to attend from home can connect via the Zoom Meeting Link provided below. There are lots of activities coming soon and all sorts of help is needed.
