It was great to see so many parents in person on Report Card Pick up! It feels like we blinked and October was over, but we have officially hit the ground running with an incredibly busy and exciting start to November. The energy in the building is high, and our students are showing amazing engagement!
This week was packed, starting with an inspiring author visit that sparked incredible excitement about reading, perfectly timed with our successful Book Fair. A huge thank you to all the volunteers, and especially Megan Freeley who organized both the fair and author visit.
We also shifted our focus to character development by introducing our new school-wide Gratitude Calendar and proudly celebrating the creative winners of the Anti-bullying/Kindness Poster Competition. It’s wonderful to see our community embracing both literacy and compassion as we move deeper into the fall season.
We also had a guest speaker from the Safe Ambassador's Program for 2nd and 5th graders on pedestrian and bike safety. They will return for part two in December.
Both our Girls and Boys Volleyball teams were in the Network One play-off games, and despite valiant efforts and great skill-based playing, their season has ended. Thank you to all the friends and families that came to cheer these athletes on! Both teams deserve a round of applause.
