On Monday, November 3, 2025, a family letter was sent to all BPS families, explaining the climate surveys and allowing for student opt-out. November 10-21, 2025 is the window student surveys are to be administered and JGMS will administer our survey on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.

2) [NEW] ESP Recognition Day – Wednesday, November 19

This Wednesday is ESP Recognition Day, and it is an important opportunity to acknowledge the extraordinary work of our education support professionals. Their dedication and care are critical to the operation of our building and to the daily experience of every student who comes through our doors.

They support classrooms, build meaningful relationships with students, anticipate needs before others even notice them, and bring a level of steadiness that keeps our community grounded. So much of what they do happens quietly and without fanfare, although the impact is unmistakable. They make JGMS stronger, kinder, and more responsive to the needs of all learners.

Thank you to our ESPs for everything they do for our kids and for our staff. They make this school a better place every single day.

3) [NEW] Shawsheen Field Trip and Road Show - November 12, 2025

On Wednesday, November 12, our 8th graders visited Shawsheen Valley Technical High School. Students were cooperated with others and met the goal of learning about the shops Shawsheen has to offer. They represented Bedford proudly and they made an impression on our partners. Please see excerpts of a note from Shawhseen Staff:

"I wanted to share how impressed we were with your 8th-grade students during their tour of Shawsheen Tech. They arrived prepared, demonstrated respect in every area of the building, and asked thoughtful, engaging questions. Their behavior and enthusiasm clearly reflect the strong foundation you have helped them build.

We truly enjoyed hosting them, and we hope they left feeling excited about the opportunities that await them in high school. Our staff and student guides noted how eager the students were to explore, as well as the curiosity and open-minded thinking they demonstrated throughout the morning."

It means a lot that others are speaking so highly of our students. Thank you for your role in ensuring your child was ready to attend the trip!

We hope the experience will encourage students to consider Shawsheen when they consider their goals for high school and beyond. Please work with your school counselor on the application process if your child is interested. Parents of interested students are encouraged to attend the information night on 11/19.
