Scholar Dollars
A Resource on Applying to and Paying For College
From the Guidance Office at Hobart High School
We are in the home stretch, Seniors!! I have updated our newsletter and put the scholarship opportunities into categories to hopefully help make it easier for you to find scholarships that pertain to you. We are getting a number of opportunities in for specific areas of study, so those have been grouped together. We also have resources for scholarships that are open to everyone at the beginning of the Scholarship Radar. You can find a couple other groupings with selective qualifiers. It can be overwhelming to scroll through so many only to find something that doesn't pertain to you. Hopefully, this will make your search a little more efficient. I cannot recommend strongly enough using a tool like Fast Web where you can put in your information and it will find scholarships best suited to you. This saves you a lot of time in your search. Also, look to your parents employers. Lots of Local Unions, employers like the steel mills and healthcare providers offer scholarships to children of their employees. Please reach out to the Guidance Office if you need anything else to help you in your next steps after graduation.
