Hendrickson High School

Hawk News9/18/2026Hendrickson High School

Message from Principal Grebb:

Tears of disappointment or tears of joy? Which one are you bringing into the sixth week of school?

Take a moment to think about how the first six weeks have gone. Did you get everything done? Did you stay on top of your grades? Or did you drop the ball somewhere along the way?

If things haven’t gone exactly as planned, don’t worry, we still have 30 more weeks of action-packed learning ahead of us. What matters now is what you do next.

We have three weeks to make changes and improve our grades before the first nine weeks grades become permanent in the gradebook. The end of the 1st Nine Weeks is October 8th, so now is the time to prioritize your grades and make sure they reflect the effort you are putting into your education.

If you are struggling and cannot make your teacher’s regular tutorials, take advantage of Late Night Library every Monday and Thursday from 4:30–5:30 p.m. in the library. You can also use TALON every day from 10:30 - 11:00 am and take advantage of Travel Days on Tuesday and Wednesday with a pass to get additional time and support from your teachers.

I want you to keep one mindset with you every day: “I can get better.”

Opportunities to improve are available. Ask questions. Get help. Use your resources. Take advantage of the excellent educators in this building who are here to help you succeed.

Six weeks are behind us. There are 30 more weeks ahead. Let’s make them count. Have a restful weekend!

As part of enhanced safety at campuses, all Pflugerville ISD campuses do not accept deliveries from meal delivery services or restaurants for student lunches. Parents may still bring outside food for their children if they plan to deliver the meals directly to office. All guests are required to follow existing safety protocols and check in with ID at the front office.
