Greenwood Guide
September 2025 Edition
Principal's Message
Dear Greenwood Families,
It was so wonderful to see so many of you at Back-to-School Night! Families are our greatest partners, and we are so appreciative of your support and collaboration. We are looking forward to an amazing year ahead.
This morning, we completed the last of our very first “Groundhog Visits” — where we went into every classroom to introduce ourselves, get to know students, and share our school-wide expectations. These visits are just the beginning! We look forward to continuing this practice throughout the year, popping into classrooms often to connect with students, celebrate their successes, and support their learning.
The school year is off to a fantastic start, and Jaime and I are thrilled to be part of the Greenwood community! Over these first few weeks, we’ve loved getting to know our students, families, and staff. The energy in our halls is contagious — classrooms are full of learning, laughter, and new routines, and we are so grateful for the warm welcome we’ve received.
At Greenwood, our vision is simple but powerful: Root. Grow. Rise.
- Root in relationships.
- Grow together everyday.
- Rise as one community.
This newsletter — the Greenwood Guide — will be published monthly and is your go-to source for staying connected. Inside, you’ll find updates on school events, upcoming dates, community celebrations, and more. Our goal is to keep you informed and make sure you have everything you need to stay “in the know” about all things Greenwood.
We also love feedback and want to do everything we can to serve this community as best as possible. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to either of us if you have feedback, questions, or need anything at all. We’re thrilled to partner with you as we work together to make this a joyful, inclusive, and high-achieving year for all Greenwood students.
With gratitude,
Erin Miller, Principal
Jaime Halpert, Assistant Principal
