Health Reminder: Flu and Seasonal Illness
We are seeing an increase in flu and seasonal illnesses at school. To help prevent the spread of illness, please keep your child home if they have a fever (100°F or higher), vomiting or diarrhea, significant cough, sore throat with fever, body aches, extreme fatigue, or flu-like symptoms. Students should be fever-free for 24 hours without medication and symptom-free for 24 hours after vomiting or diarrhea before returning to school.
Thank you for helping keep our school community healthy.
In order to fill the limited spaces in our preschool classrooms, typically developing children will enter the program through a lottery. Please use the following LINK to apply for the Talawanda Preschool lottery for the 2026/2027 school year. Applications must be completed by January 31, 2026. The lottery will take place on February 13, 2026. Families will be notified of their placement on the roster or on the waitlist after February 13, 2026.
Please send any questions to the Preschool Coordinator, Beth Fuechsl, at fuechsle@talawanda.org.
