π¬ Principal's Message
Hello, Reynolds Families!
It's great to be back on campus after Fall Break! Quarter 2 is off to a fantastic start, and there's a lot of positive energy happening around our school.
Our Focus This Quarter
Our staff has recommitted to the priorities outlined in our campus Plan-on-a-Page. These strategic goals drive our decision-making and keep us united in our efforts to serve your students well.
What's particularly exciting right now is watching our teachers use Responsive Instruction. When they see what students understand and where they need more practice or challenge, they modify their lessons to address those specific needs. This means instruction is constantly evolving based on what your child demonstrates they're ready to learn next.
Nest Lessons: Unity Day & Highly Effective Habits
Our Nest Time classes have been working on some important topics lately. Students participated in a Unity Day activity that focused on respect and celebrating what makes our school community great. These conversations are so valuable in helping students understand the importance of creating the environment we expect here at Reynolds Middle School.
Additionally, students are learning about highly effective habits and strategies that will serve them well both in and out of the classroom. These skills - like organization, time management, and goal-setting - are essential for academic success and personal growth.
Student of the Quarter Celebration
We were excited to celebrate our Students of the Quarter this week! Several teacher selected two students who exemplified the pillars of R (Respect), M (Motivation), and S (Success). These outstanding students consistently go above and beyond in the classroom. We celebrated their excellence by hosting an award ceremony followed by breakfast with their families. Congratulations to all of our Students of the Quarter - we're incredibly proud of you!
I'm confident this quarter will bring continued academic success for all our Eagles. I appreciate all that you do from home to ensure our ongoing positive partnership in your child's education.
Soaring together,
Dr. Jess Mullins
Principal, Reynolds Middle School
