Hello Knox Families!
Welcome to the last few days of the school year! It has been an amazing year, and I am so proud of all we have accomplished. During these last few days of school, please remind your student that they may continue to raise their grade until the last day of school. Students should continue to turn in missing assignments to their teachers. In addition, below, please find the links to summer enrichment opportunities for students. Students should continue to work on their assignments in Buzzmath online. Students should also join our Knox Summer Google Classroom, linked below, for additional summer reading opportunities on Newsela.com.
We are very excited for some of the special programs coming to Knox next year!
Jump Start Musical Theater Grant:
Knox has been awarded a 3-year musical theater grant beginning next school year. The grant will allow us to work with La Jolla playhouse to provide an after school musical theater program at Knox.
Gear-Up Grant:
Knox Middle has been awarded a 6-year Gear Up grant to support teacher professional development, coaching and collaboration to support the success of our students. We are excited to partner with Lincoln High School and Millennial Tech Middle School in this amazing opportunity.
Alliance for a Healthier Generation's Healthy Schools Program:
A partnership with Kaiser and SDUSD Wellness Department and Knox.
REMINDER:
8th grade students need to earn passing grades in all of their classes by June 7th at 4:00pm for participation in our Knox Promotion Ceremony. A letter was sent out to all 8th grade families outlining the criteria for participation in promotion and all End of the Year activities.
Students must return all of their textbooks to the library as soon as possible.
