FACTION SWIMMING CARNIVAL FACTION SWIMMING CARNIVAL

We enjoyed a fantastic day on Thursday 19 March at our Faction Swimming Carnival. Students participated with great enthusiasm, proudly demonstrating our school value of Courage by giving their best in every event.

Thank you to Sam Harris for the outstanding organisation and leadership shown in preparing the carnival.

I also extend a sincere thank you to our dedicated staff and parent helpers whose support contributed to the success of the day.

INTERIM REPORTS INTERIM REPORTS

As advised earlier this term, we have revised our Interim Report templates to focus primarily on how students have commenced the school year, through a social-emotional and wellbeing perspective. Teachers will continue to have professional conversations with parents as required regarding academic progress and Semester Reports will be released at the end of each semester, focusing on academic progress.

Interim Reports will be available to parents via SEQTA Engage on Monday 30 March, and meetings will take place early next term, with information regarding booking a meeting to be shared in due course, at point of need. This may be by request of the teacher/s or parents.

I thank our teachers for preparing Interim Reports.

ATTENDANCE ATTENDANCE

We recently sent communication to parents of students whose attendance has fallen below 90% this term.

While we recognise that some absences may be due to valid reasons that have already been communicated to the school, this correspondence forms part of our standard attendance follow‑up procedures and ensures we are consistently monitoring and supporting student attendance.

PRE-KINDY PRE-KINDY

We still have a few spots available in our Monday Pre-Kindy class, and we are investigating the possibility of adding a second Pre-Kindy class (Wednesday) from the commencement of Term Three.

If you are interested in joining our Pre-Kindy program, please complete an enrolment application via our website as soon as possible.

COMMUNICATION PLATFORMS COMMUNICATION PLATFORMS

The image below summarises the communication platforms used at St Brigid’s Primary School.

Please note, the link for our newsletter will be sent via Seesaw moving forward, as this is our primary platform for whole-school communication with parents.

Anzac Day Anzac Day

We will be holding our ANZAC Day Ceremony on Friday, 24th April at 2:15pm in MacKillop Hall, led by our Special Events Council.

ANZAC Day is a time for us to come together to remember and honour the bravery, sacrifice, and spirit of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZACs), who served and gave their lives in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping missions. It is a day of reflection, gratitude, and respect for all who have served our countries.

All members of our community are warmly invited to attend this important commemoration.

Containers for Change! Containers for Change!

Special bins have been placed in student's eating areas. These bins are for collecting 10 cent containers.

If you have a water bottle, can or carton with the 10c symbol on it, you can place it in the Containers for Change bin instead of the normal bin.

Every container we collect helps in two important ways:

It helps the environment by recycling.

And it raises money for our school.

The money we raise will go towards sustainability projects like improving our gardens, supporting our worm farm, and helping us become a more environmentally friendly school.

A Message From The Canteen Manager:

Hello my name is Kylie and I have been the Canteen Manager at St Brigid's Primary School for over 12 years.
