Message from the Superintendent
Welcome Back to Our Amazing TPS Community!
The 2025-2026 school year is just around the corner, and we're thrilled to welcome you all back to our vibrant learning community! Whether you're excited or feeling a few butterflies about returning—both are completely normal, and we're here to support you every step of the way.
Ready to Shine Together…as Team TPS
Every new school year brings fresh opportunities for growth, connection, and an opportunity to decide the direction of your journey in this new school year. So whether you're returning or joining us for the first time, I hope you know that you're part of something special—a community dedicated to helping every student and staff member succeed in that journey.
I do hope you can also recognize that many members of our TPS family have been preparing to make this year’s journey exceptional. We extend heartfelt gratitude to all our Summer Champions, our administrative team, central office staff, secretaries and school support staff, and our custodial and maintenance staff, who've worked all summer to ensure our schools are ready to welcome you back.
Mark Your Calendars:
Teachers & ESP’s return: Monday, August 25th, 2025
First day for students: Wednesday, August 27th, 2025
By now, you should have received your back-to-school class assignments and other key event dates and information. Keep an eye out for personalized communications from your school's principal with specific details for your school building. And, please scroll down in the newsletter to review key documents sent home from the TPS Central Office.
25-26 District Strategic Plan (DSP):
Below, please see the button to review the summary page of the 25-26 District Goals and Objectives. This document and ongoing plan serve to improve our district in meeting the needs of all learners. Several teachers, staff, and all of our district leadership team worked together to refine this strategic plan. On Wednesday, August 13th, the School Committee approved our DSP. The full document will be published to the District Website by Monday, August 25th. Please join me in thanking everyone who participated in this important work.
As always, visit our district website at: www.tewksbury.k12.ma.us for the other important information, the 2025-2026 school calendar, updated hours, and essential back-to-school details.
A Year of Possibilities Awaits:
We know returning to school can bring mixed emotions—excitement about seeing friends and maybe some new challenges, but also some natural anxiety about changes ahead. That's perfectly okay! Our caring administrators and staff are ready to help everyone feel comfortable and confident as we start this journey together.
Whether you're a kindergartner or a senior, a new or veteran staff member, and anything in between, this is your year to discover what you're capable of achieving. For all of our TPS family members, new and returning, get ready for new friendships, "aha!" moments, and proud accomplishments.
Welcome back, TPS family.
