Reminders
Feedback Requested: IDOT Safe Routes to School Grant Program
Please take a moment to download and complete the survey, sharing your thoughts on walking and biking to school, before Sept.15. Please email it to Dr. Russo, drusso@sd74.org, or print it and drop it off at the District's administration building. Thank you in advance for your participation!
Safe Arrivals and Dismissals
The safe daily transportation of students is a top priority at SD74. As we reestablish our traffic procedures for the new school year, we ask that you please adhere to the guidance from our crossing guards and traffic personnel, and follow all posted traffic laws around campus.
In particular, please refrain from dropping students off and picking them up at the service drive on Crawford Ave. in front of Lincoln Hall; use the main drop-off and pick-up queue instead. Also, please note that only eastbound traffic is permitted on Morse Avenue between East Prairie and Hamlin during school arrival and dismissal times.
Additionally, students who cross at Pratt and East Prairie should walk down East Prairie and continue past the front of Rutledge Hall. They should not walk down Pratt to use the traffic island in the parking lot.
Finally, all students, staff, and visitors are asked to walk any bike or scooter while on campus.
Your patience and understanding, especially during times of inclement weather, will go a long way toward ensuring each student’s safety.
Picture Day Pre-Ordering
Picture Day is Sept. 9 at all school buildings. Order your photos ahead of time on the Color Portraits pre-pay sites for Todd Hall, Rutledge Hall, and Lincoln Hall. Pre-pay ordering will close at midnight on Picture Day. Pre-paid picture packages will be delivered to each school for distribution to students approximately three weeks after Picture Day.
Miss pre-paying? You can order photos after Picture Day using your student's Ticket Code. Ticket Codes will arrive at each school with the pre-paid picture packages. Please note that a shipping fee will be added in this case as picture packages will be shipped directly to the home.
Four Seasons in Lincolnwood presented by the Lincolnwood Chamber Orchestra
On Sept. 14 at 3 p.m., the Lincolnwood Chamber Orchestra will perform alongside violinist Desirée Ruhstrat, renowned throughout Chicagoland and internationally as a soloist, chamber musician, and educator. This upcoming concert will see the orchestra back at the acoustically splendid Lincoln Hall Middle School Auditorium, as part of the LCO’s 35th Anniversary Season.
