📅 Attendance Matters!
If you are apart of out Moore Facebook page you will find weekly updates on attendance.
As stated in our School Handbook, absences that are verified—whether through a doctor’s note, obituary, or parent phone call—still count as absences. However, providing documentation such as doctor’s notes is still very helpful, especially if Truancy concerns arise.

School Highlights
PTO
Our PTO is small but mighty!
We are working on planning a SUPER fun Field Day with teamwork activities.
2nd Grade
3rd Grade
3rd Graders have been working on grammar games and word ladders/chains and making words.
They are also preparing and reviewing for the state testing coming up very soon.
PE
Our Physical Education classes continue to focus on teamwork and sportsmanship. Supportive skill development and cooperative team building activities are emphasized in every unit. The students are finishing a jump rope unit in which they progressed from jumping stationary lines to jumping moving ropes. They are encouraged to stay physically active and continue to practice developing their skills outside of school. Mr. Rousseau says "move around and have fun"!
Behavior Intervention
Lost & Found
Our Lost & Found is filling up with jackets, sweatshirts, and lunchboxes. If your child is missing something, remind them to take a look—or stop in to check during school hours.
Capturing Kids' Hearts
Perseverance
At Moore we know that students having strong character and feeling valued is key to a great education. Through Capturing Kids' Hearts we focus on character traits each month to make us better well-rounded students.
Goal: Focus efforts to sustain CKH culture
Give extra effort to make it through to the end.
School Expectations
April Focus- Work Together
W – Work Together
This April, we are focusing on the letter W and the important skill of working together. Students will practice cooperating, sharing ideas, listening to others, and helping their classmates. Learning to work together builds strong friendships and teaches children how to solve problems as a team.
Tips for Working Together at School:
Take turns speaking and listen to others’ ideas
Share materials and include everyone
Use kind words and encourage classmates
Help solve problems calmly as a team
Tips for Working Together at Home:
Work together on chores like cooking or cleaning
Practice taking turns during games and activities
Encourage your child to help siblings or family members
Talk about how teamwork makes tasks easier and more fun
You can support this at home by encouraging your child to help with family tasks and talk about what it means to be a good teammate.
