Thank you for the opportunity to serve the children, families, and taxpayers of the Upper Darby School District. As part of the School Board communication plan, the Board sends monthly updates to the school community. The information included in these briefs is not intended to be complete and does not replace official Board minutes. Official meeting minutes, agendas, reports, and presentations are available at BoardDocs. Home Access Center (HAC)

Home Access Center (HAC) allows parents and students to view student registration, scheduling, attendance, assignment, and grade information. The Upper Darby School District uses email as its primary means of communicating information to parents. It is important that parents update their email address in the Home Access Center as needed.

HAC login information was sent to parents by the Technology Department via the email address on file in eSchool as provided by the parent. Please check your email or your spam folder for that email. If you are unsure of your login credentials, please contact your school's main office from the email address on file. If you have any questions or encounter any problems, please contact parentportal@upperdarbysd.org.

UDSD Family Handbook 2022-2023

The UDSD Family Handbook contains important information about our school district, as well as policies and procedures that are designed to ensure schools function as safe, positive, educationally-focused learning communities. The handbook was shared in the Superintendent's summer eLetter and can be found on the District's website or by clicking HERE.

August Meeting Highlights

Memoranda of Understanding with UDEA - Approved

As part of the district’s effort to hire and retain the best staff, and in light of the severe national teacher shortage, the Board approved two memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with the Upper Darby Education Association (UDEA) to provide increased stipends for teachers who take on extra teaching responsibilities as well as movement on the salary schedule and one-time bonuses for eligible employees during the 2022-2023 school year.

School Calendar Update - Approved

Three additional half-days have been added to the district-wide calendar for the 2022-2023 school year to provide teachers additional time to complete grading and prepare for student progress reports. This is a further attempt to improve the work-life balance for our teachers and retain high-quality faculty. The updated calendar can be found HERE.

Facilities Improvements - Approved

As part of additional capital improvements, the board approved awards for reconstruction of the tennis courts at Upper Darby High School, rehabilitation of the bleachers at Beverly Hills Middle School, field and courtyard improvements at Drexel Hill Middle School, and school signal upgrades on Garrett Road in front of Beverly Hills Middle School.

School Board members are your neighbors and are public servants who make decisions that affect all students. Board members are volunteers and have a deep desire to serve children, a strong belief in the value of public education and a deep professional respect for the District staff who serve our children and their families every day.
