100TH DAY OF SCHOOL π
Spirit Dress-up Day
This Tuesday is the 100th day of school. To celebrate, TK and Kinder invite all students and staff to dress up like you are 100 years old!
ATTENDANCE MATTERS β
Help us reach our attendance goal of 94% average daily attendance!
Regular student attendance plays a critical role in our collective mission to ensure every student achieves their fullest potential.
Why Attendance Should Be a Top Priority:
Academic Achievement: Regular attendance is fundamental to student success. Each school day is a building block in the learning process. Consistent attendance helps students keep up with coursework, understand key concepts, and perform better academically.
Social and Emotional Development: School is a place where students develop crucial social skills and emotional resilience. Frequent absences can hinder their ability to form strong relationships with peers and teachers, impacting their overall development.
Future Opportunities: Consistent attendance is linked to higher graduation rates and better long-term outcomes, including higher education and career prospects. By prioritizing attendance, we are directly contributing to students' future success.
School Culture: Regular attendance fosters a positive school culture and enhances the learning environment for everyone. It creates a sense of community and ensures that all students have equal access to the resources and support they need.
TARDIES CHALLENGE WITH THE WELCOME TO SCHOOL SQUAD
Student Council and the Bobcat Cheerleaders welcomed students who were on time to school this month at various gates to encourage being on time to school. Ms. Shaffer passed out raffle tickets for all who made it by 8:00 AM. Let's keep it up and start the day off right! Every MOMENT of every day counts!

A MESSAGE FROM DR. IBARRA, SUPERINTENDENT
Given the activity of recent immigration enforcement in our community, we are aware of several rumors and fears about ICE targeting schools. We want to confirm that this is not the case. There have been no confirmed cases of immigration attempting to be on our campuses in Escondido or anywhere in San Diego County. Please know that while your children are at school that we are doing everything possible to keep them safe and reassure them. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to your school principal, social worker, or family liaison. They can and will assist you.
