According to our 2nd graders who celebrated National Smoothie Day with yummy fruit smoothies, any day is a good day for a smoothie. Thank you to the parents who spent extra time to help buy ingredients and make the smoothies in class. They were yummy.

Yes, we had another water line break on Thursday that shut down our primary restrooms until it was fixed in the afternoon. It is believed that this happened because of a crack caused by the heavy cement trucks that drove over the line when pouring the walkway cement. We hope this is the last of the challenges from our summer construction project. We praise God even through challenges.

Classes are starting to go on field trips. If you are planning on helping chaperone a field trip you must be cleared through Sterling Volunteer. This system provides training and background checks before any adult can be in a position to interact with students. You can find the links and information on how to complete the screening on our website under the parent tab.

Can you believe our first quarter is almost up? Please encourage and talk with your child about any incomplete assignments. It would also be good to check your child’s grades and talk with their teacher about how to best support your child.

Lunch order is to be placed with the homeroom teacher each day.

$4.25 for Elementary

$5.00 for Middle School

All meals are vegetarian

Monday - Spaghetti with marinara sauce, garlic bread, salad and juice.

Tuesday - Flautas, rice, beans, salad and juice

Wednesday - Tomato soup, grilled cheese sandwich, carrot sticks, and a drink

Thursday -Hotdog, french fries, cucumbers, dessert, and juice or milk.

Friday - No lunch, (noon release)

10/9 - Field trip to Mainstay Farm (Preschool, PreK, and K)

10/10 - Field trip to Ft Worth Nature Center (5th - 8th grade)

10/11 - End of 1st Quarter

10/11 - Half Day (no lunch or ASC)

10/14 - No School (Indigenous Peoples Day)

10/15 - Start of 2nd Quarter

10/17 - Field trip to Ft Worth Museum of Science (1st grade)

10/18 - Class pictures

10/21 - Parent teacher conferences (no school)

10/28-11/1 - Red Ribbon Week
