2025-2026 School Year ~ Important Dates

• Wednesday, August 19 - 1st Day of School for Grades 1-5

• Thursday, August 20 - Kindergarten Screening (times will be mailed to parents in August)

• Friday, August 21 - 1st Day of School for Kindergarten

Mrs. Castillo and Mrs. Nelson's 2nd Graders have been studying various Landforms. Students researched and wrote about a type of landform and then created a diorama at home to showcase their landform. Walsh students had the opportunity to come to see their projects, as the students described their landform and answered questions.

Mrs. Marroquin's second grade STEAM classes were tasked with building something with everyday materials to withstand an egg drop from the roof of our building on the playground.

As we wrap up the school year, please be sure to read these important health reminders:

- If your child has medication in the health office please return the permission slip or call the school nurse to make arrangements to pick it up by the last day of school. All unclaimed medication will be discarded.

- If your child is attending summer school this year and needs medication at school please contact the school nurse to ensure all forms and medications are up to date.

- Registration packets went home to all students. Please make your physician appointments now. There are health requirements for prek, K, 2nd and 6th graders.

- Health documents for the 26-27 school year are due August 1, 2026.

All 2026-2027 School health forms are available on the school website. Please review the needed health forms per grade level for each student. If you have questions, please feel free to contact the school nurse.

- Action plans and medication administration forms are required annually. Please be sure to have your child’s doctor complete new forms for the upcoming school year
