Our Butler Spring Fair on Saturday, March 28th, was a fantastic success and a wonderful day for our school community! Students and families enjoyed games, the cake walk, fun jars, bounce house, food trucks, the used book sale, raffle baskets, and a silent auction! Participants earned tickets along the way for exciting prizes from the redemption room. We are incredibly grateful to our dedicated teacher, parent, and student volunteers who made the day run so smoothly. A huge thank you to our Spring Fair Chairs, Galena Tonkonogi and Kelly Kaufman, for their year-long leadership, time, and commitment to making this event so special for everyone.

Butler Cell Phone/SMART Watch/Personal Device Policy

When in school, personal student cell phone/SMART Watch/device usage are to be silenced and remain in backpacks during the school day. In some instances, students need their device to monitor health status through each day, and this will remain in place. However, should there be a need for any student/home communication, it will take place with the support of the teacher/school office during the school day. These district expectations have been shared with students, and we appreciate your support with your children as we navigate each school day.

We invite you to watch a short video as a reminder about the guidelines for student use of cell phones and personal electronic devices, including smartwatches, in our schools.

Butler Musical - Disney's: Finding Nemo, Jr.

Butler Elementary proudly presented two performances of Disney’s Finding Nemo, Jr., showcasing the talents of our 5th and 6th grade students on March 18th and 19th. Under the direction of Mr. Guenst, Mrs. Meade, and Ms. Griffin, students began rehearsals in January and brought the show to life on last week. In addition to two evening performances for families, the cast also performed twice during daytime assemblies for our students. The production reflected months of teamwork, creativity, and dedication from everyone involved - including Mr. Meyers and students from CB South. Beyond the performers onstage, students contributed as set designers, artists, lighting and sound technicians, and stage crew. This impressive collaboration made the entire production a memorable and meaningful experience for our school community. The students did an incredible job performing for their community!

Rock Your Socks for World Down Syndrome Day - 3/23

Our school proudly participated in Rock Your Socks to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day on March 23rd. Did you know the Down Syndrome Association chose socks to raise awareness because under a microscope, pairs of chromosomes look like socks!?! "Rock Your Socks" uses colorful, mismatched footwear to represent the unique nature of the extra 21st chromosome, advocating for diversity and inclusion. This fun and meaningful day helped to show appreciation for what makes each of us special.
