Principal's Message
Greetings WBS Families!
Greetings Parents,
I hope this message finds you all doing well and enjoying our transition into fall temperatures, pumpkins, apple cider and the beautiful autumn foliage! This is definitely our favorite time of year at WBS. Our students are highly engaged in their learning and have grown accustomed to the routines and structures of their new classrooms.
There is a positive energy in the building as we are getting comfortable in our new learning spaces, and we finish up the next phase of our construction. Starting today - we are serving all of our meals out of our newly renovated kitchen. The entire kitchen was replaced, and we also have a new serving line that is more effective and allows our students to enjoy a bright and spacious new cafeteria space. We also have new cafeteria windows, doors, movie screen and sound system. This week we will be enjoying our first lunchtime trivia of the year!
Construction continues in our grade four and five hallway and we hope to have some of the classrooms turned over to us before the holiday break. The final phase of the project will begin the Spring and into the summer months of 2027.
Thank you for your continued partnership with us as we navigate the next phases of our construction plan. I cannot say enough about the resilience and flexibility of our staff and students as we move through this construction journey together. We will continue to provide our parents with multiple opportunities to volunteer at WBS this year so that you can be a part of all of the amazing things we do at WBS each and every day. It has been so nice welcoming parents into our new office space as you volunteer for first grade apple day, various mystery reader opportunities, book fair and for our upcoming Field Day Shorts event being held this Friday 10/23.
We also look forward to seeing you for our November parent/teacher conferences during the week of 11/23. Please reach out to your child's teacher to sign up for a conference.
With gratitude,
Mrs. Hadfield

5th Grade Visits the Garden of Health
π±π₯ Future farmers in the making! π»π
On October 13, our fifth graders visited the Garden of Health in Hatfield to learn how a garden can make a BIG difference in our community! π
Students harvested, planted, learned why bees are such important pollinators, and enjoyed a beautiful day out in nature. πΏ Their hard work helps support local food banks and provide fresh, healthy food for our community!
We had a great day growing, learning, and getting our hands dirty! ππ±

October is Bullying Prevention Month. Through classroom lessons (grades 1-5) and discussions, we work to educate and raise awareness about bullying and cyberbullying prevention. Addressing and preventing bullying is something that everyone can do every day. Please reach out to Mrs. Panachyda, School Counselor (cpanachyda@soudertonsd.org), with any questions or concerns.
